Alphabet, Google’s parent company, announced an agreement to acquire Intersect, a provider of data center and energy infrastructure solutions, for $4.75 billion in cash plus assumed debt.
This acquisition is a strategic move to secure the electricity and infrastructure necessary to power AI technologies, helping Google expand capacity and build new power generation alongside increasing data center needs. AMD is investing $150 million in Nutanix common stock at a price of $36.26 per share. AMD will provide up to an additional $100 million to fund joint engineering and marketing initiatives.
